15 Minute Candied Cinnamon Pecans – Crunchy candied cinnamon pecans that can be made and ready to eat in just 15 minutes!

I absolutely love those stands at the mall. The ones you can smell from a mile away. Sugary cinnamony hot candied nuts. Every time I’m in the vicinity of that aroma, I can’t focus on anything else until I get my hands on a big paper cone full of those addicted nuts. Almonds, pecans, I don’t care, I simply must have them.
You can bake candied pecans in the oven, and that is a fantastic method. I’ve even seen slow cooker versions (hello convenience!! I love it.) But this method is my favorite, right on the stove top. I am honestly trying to work on my patience, but I have to say, I just can’t wait very long once I get a craving for those mouthwatering cinnamon pecans. This recipe is my go-to when I get a real hankering for them. In 15 minutes they’re done and in my mouth! You can’t beat that. And the holiday season is the perfect time to make these Candied Cinnamon Pecans. Take them to your upcoming holiday party, they’ll be a huge hit!! You may want to double (or even triple!) the recipe though because I promise you’ll be wanting more the instant they’re gone!
15 Minute Candied Cinnamon Pecans
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole pecans
- ยฝ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ยผ teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Add sugar to a medium sized pan and cook over medium high heat until sugar begins to melt. Add pecans and stir with a rubber spatula until sugar is completed coated (but not burned!) and pecans are well coated with sugar glaze.
- Add vanilla and stir. Remove pan from heat and transfer pecans to a nonstick baking sheet or glass plate, sprinkle with cinnamon. Chill 5 minutes. Break apart pecans. Enjoy!

I like to make sure the sugar is completely melted before adding the pecans, etc. Otherwise, I just get clumps of sugar stuck to the pecans (vs. an even coating) that never seem to melt. Otherwise, easy and fantastic recipe I cut in half if I only need enough for a couple of salads and can omit the cinnamon and still a nice variation ….. Thanks for sharing this!
Go ahead and use an oven recipe. Sugar did’t melt properly and dried very crispy. I think it needed some water mixed into the sugar to melt it.
WOW! WOW! This is awesome, fast, easy & crunchy. If you have bad teeth you might want to make some fudge. I followed recipe to the T & it came out super. You fave to work fast once sugar starts to melt.
I am going to try these today, but instead of vanilla, which has become hideously expensive, I am going to use a small amount of orange extract. Also, I plan to do some with Torani butter rum syrup. Will let you know what the results are!
