Cake Batter Granola Bars – These are the perfect on-the-go solution for busy cake batter lovers!! AND they only take 15 minutes to make!
I have two problems. Okay, more than two. But at the moment we are only discussing the two at hand.
Problem #1: I need a time machine.
Not the kind of time machine where you travel between years and go visit people who died seven decades ago in order to “find yourself”. I think Hollywood has done that plot about sixteen times. I’m talking about a machine that actually makes time. Preferably coin-operated. Put in a quarter, out comes an hour.
I’m always in a hurry, always late (probably not fashionably either), and always trying to cram way too much into a day.
Problem #2: I have a growing cake batter obsession.
It’s only been within, oh maybe the past year, that I’ve had my eyes opened to the magic of cake batter. I had no idea that cake batter was for anything other than an actual cake. With the frosting and the crumbs and maybe the candle, depending on the occasion. Let’s take a quick inventory of the cake batter uses I was unaware of…
Cake batter rice krispy treats.
Cake batter ice cream.
Cake batter pancakes.
Cake batter muddy buddies.
I’m running up a large yellow cake batter box mix bill. You’re welcome Betty.
I’ve decided these granola bars are proof of that thing I put on my job resumes. You know, “creative problem solver” or something like that. Two problems: no time, and cake batter obsession. Solution: on-the-go Cake Batter Granola Bars.
Dang I’m good. Hire me.

I disagree about the toasting. The flavor doesn’t work well with the cake mix. Great recipe Tiffany!
Thanks so much Jen! I haven’t tried the toasting, it might be great but I love these without toasting! Ha! ๐
I would love to make these! Yay! Yum! Do you have another option I can’t have corn syrup? Thank you!
Sorry, i am late to the part for this reciPe. Do you use normal oats or quick cook oats.
I used normal! ๐
