Peppermint Cocoa Christmas Ornaments – A tasty treat for those neighborhood gifts or use them to decorate your own Christmas tree!
Our first apartment was a loft (aka: attic)/studio apartment above a dental office. Our only neighbors were the folks at Taco Time and Pizza Perfect. Lucky us. Now that we have our own house, we also have a real neighborhood. And that means… neighbor gifts! When trying to decide what to give out for our first Christmas in the neighborhood, I settled on something I would love to get: Hot Cocoa. I loooooove hot cocoa. I drink it all. year. round. no matter the weather. That is not a joke, I absolutely promise I drank hot cocoa at least seven times when we went on our cruise to the Eastern Caribbean last year. Crazy? Maybe a little.
These Peppermint Cocoa Christmas Ornaments were easy to make and they turned out so CUTE. In fact, I’m contemplating keeping all of them and hanging them on my Christmas tree! Imagine a whole tree with these adorable ornaments all over. Ahhhhh, I love it! But, I’d feel bad because I have nothing else to give my neighbors… so I suppose I’ll have to part with them at some point. I could always make more though! They were cheap, easy, and it took me less than an hour to put them together. Yay!

Hi Diane, I used 3 inch ornaments and filled them halfway with coca then topped it with crushed peppermint and marshmallows 🙂
How much peppermint though? 1 tablespoon?
I honestly didn’t measure it. I just crushed up candy canes and poured some in. It was probably about a tablespoon though. You can really add as little or as much as you want 🙂
Love your Peppermint Cocoa Christmas Ornaments and was hoping to but some together for friends. By any chance would you be willing to share your instructions? It would be nice to get the servings and ornament size correct.
