Skinny Pineapple Smoothie – A sweet and tangy pineapple smoothie – this is secretly healthy! No added sugar AND there is a dairy-free option!
My love affair with ice cream has been thriving since I was just a little tyke. (I’m still little, but I like to think I’m no longer a tyke) I was an adamant chocolate lover for years but eventually, I realized there is more goodness in this world than chocolate-chocolate-chocolate. Note: chocolate is still my fav, but my heart has made room for other yumminess. Frozen creamy pineapple yumminess is high on my list of loves.
DLand Pineapple Whip? Ohhhh yeah. If you haven’t experienced a Dole Pineapple Whip from DisneyLand you are seriously, seriously missing out. But this tastes a lot like it folks, and it is a SKINNY Pineapple Smoothie. All the flavor without the calories, fat, and crazy amounts of sugar? BIG win in my book! Cause then, I don’t feel so bad having a smoothie for breakfast. Or at midnight. Or …. both.

Hi Mary! I don’t have the stats off-hand but you could easily calculate them over at http://www.myfitnesspal.com! ๐
Would canned pineapple work??
Fresh/frozen is probably a lot better, I haven’t tried canned!
Unfortunately I found the banana completely took over any pineapple flavour
I completely agree. If youre making this hoping for a great pineapple smoothie, the banana will dictate matters greatly. I wouldnt omit it completely as it clearly adds a rich creaminess to the drink. I’d try reducing the amount to 1/4 banana or 1/2 of one that is barely ripe as they dont yet have the stronger and distinctive banana flavor. I also added a small squeeze of agave sweetner to reduce the bitterness of the frozen pineapple. Overall, this is a great recipe that produces a smoothie that youd swear had ice cream in it! You can easily control the thickness by adding the milk slowly as it mixes.
This was perfect, so yummy. Just right for a hot day. I didn’t have any milk or coconut milk, all I had was almond milk. It was still good.
